Greens Senator Nick McKim has reported that the Senate has voted to strike down the Citizenship Amendment Bill from the Senate notice paper if it is not dealt with in the next four sitting days.
If It is not debated this week, the Parliament breaks until mid-October then resumes the week of 16 October, so they have until 18 October to deal with it.
If the Senate does not vote on the Bill by 18 October it cannot pass in its current form. It will be stuck from that Senate notice paper.
