Professor Paul Spoonley, from Massey University discusses the history of Trans-Tasman migration since the 1973 Trans-Tasman Travel Arrangement, deportations, and the new permanent visa for New Zealanders introduced in July 2017.

Please note: the New Zealand Steam 189 Visa has no upper age limit, nor are applicants required to be in a Skilled Occupation. They must, however, have earned a personal taxable income of at least $53,900 in each of the four income years prior to applying.
