Peter Dutton retains Home Affairs, but David Coleman will take on Immigration and Citizenship

Prime Minister Scott Morrison has restored Peter Dutton to his first cabinet, moving quickly to heal wounds from the Liberal Party’s civil war.
Australia’s next Foreign Minister will be Marise Payne, after 20-year Coalition veteran Julie Bishop announced she would be standing down from the role, despite Mr Morrison saying he “would have very much welcomed her continuing role in the Ministry”.
Mr Dutton will return to Home Affairs, but his former super-portfolio will be split, with Mr Dutton focusing on cyber security, law enforcement, border of protection and security agencies.
Another supporter of former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, David Coleman, will take on Immigration, Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs in a clear signal from Mr Morrison to separate the economic role of immigration from national security following policy disagreements with Mr Dutton over the past year.
