Today’s the first day on the job for New Zealand’s new Labour Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, who was sworn in yesterday.
Her swearing-in comes more than a month after New Zealand took to the polls in an inconclusive vote on 23 September 2017.
Jacinda Ardern has now promised to build more public housing, re-introduce emissions trading and restrict immigration.
But she will also be tasked with repairing relations with Australia — the Prime Minister has promised to visit our country as soon as possible.
