Citizenship Amendment Bill Update

18 October 2017

On 12 September 2017, the Greens Senator Nick McKim used a rare procedural move, a Notice of Motion, to have the Citizenship Amendment Bill discharged from the Senate Notice Paper – the Senate Order of Business.

The Senate reconvenes this week. Oz Kiwi understand the Bill is to be dealt with by 18 October 2017. If the Bill is discharged from the Notice Paper, then it’s a dead duck, and finally people can stop being in no mans land.

Oz Kiwi will keep you informed of the Bill’s progress.
