Dear Secretary

Re: Australian Citizenship Legislation Amendment (Strengthening the Requirement for Citizenship) and other Measures Bill 2017

  • state who you are
  • what state you live in
  • how long you’ve lived in Australia
  • your contributions to Australia
  • how the Citizenship changes will affect you and/or why you don’t like the Citizenship Bill or both
  • speak to your experience/personal situation, for your children or partner/spouse.

Most of all be respectful – swearing and nastiness is counterproductive to what we’re trying to achieve.

The Parliament website has details about posting or emailing a submission.

You can also find information about writing a submission to a Senate Committee Inquiry and how to submit It.
