NSW Māori Wardens in association with the Blacktown City Council are hosting their first Waitangi Day Festival.
This will be preceded by a Dawn Service at the Pou Pou in the New Zealand Gardens at Nurrangingy Reserve at 6 am.

Haka world record attempt
As part of the Waitangi Day celebrations there will an attempt to set the record for the world’s biggest haka. The current world record as per Guinness World Records is 4028 created in France in 2014.
Registration is from 9 am at the venue on the morning. Each competitor will be issued an official Haka World Record Attempt wristband and will be marshalled until rehearsals from 9.30 am. The World Record Attempt will take place at 10.30 am.
