From 1 January this year young New Zealanders who grew up in Australia were able to access student loans for the first time since 2005.

Oz Kiwi is well aware that only a small number of young Kiwis raised (but not born) in Australia will be helped by the scheme. This amendment was the first positive changed since February 2001 and we will continue to advocate for wider reforms on the issues that negatively impact on Kiwis.
