While in Canberra for a series of meetings with politicians and political advisors the Oz Kiwi team are staying in the suburb of Manuka. The suburb is near Capital Hill, only minutes away from Parliament House.

The history of Manuka dates back to the days where New Zealand was invited to join the Federation in 1901. Each capital city had a street named for it and there was a Wellington Parade.

New Zealand of course ultimately opted not to become part of the Australian Federation and Wellington Street was later renamed to Commonwealth Avenue. The name of the suburb still remains.
