In June 2015 Oz Kiwi took a petition calling for a fair pathway to citizenship for all New Zealanders resident in Australia to Canberra.

Tasmanian Senator Ann Urquhart presented the petition, signed by 35,000 people, to Parliament on our behalf. The petition helped lay the groundwork for discussion and certainly got attention in the corridors of power.

Oz Kiwi’s Emma Goodwin is pictured handing the petition to Sen Urquhart in the Senator’s office. Oz Kiwi appreciates Ann’s support for our campaign and the work she and her Canberra colleagues have done in progressing the issues and educating other Parliamentarians.
