Oz Kiwi wants to hear from any Kiwis who have been told recently that due to a visa status change they won’t still be eligible for Medicare.
Do you have a family member whose visa status has changed recently? For example if a Kiwi’s non-Kiwi partner goes from a bridging visa to a spousal 820 visa.
Has your child had been denied a Medicare card or told they were no longer eligible for Medicare when they moved from the SCV to a permanent visa?
All New Zealanders are entitled to Medicare under the reciprocal agreement however their non-NZ citizen partner is not.
If you have received a letter from Medicare telling you that your child or yourself are no longer entitled to Medicare due to their visa status changing we want to hear from you.
