The election is one week away, although pre polling has been taking place.
Oz Kiwi strongly suggest that those who can vote, take a pen with with them. Unlike New Zealand, Australia provides pencils at polling booths, not pens or ‘felts’ aka texters. This may be to avoid any concern about tampering or rigging of votes, does it happen? Unlikely with scrutineers, but you can be certain then.
If you haven’t already, go out and speak to your candidates. If you see them at your train station or ferry terminal, local markets or shopping centres, go up to them say “Hi”. Talk to them about the SCV issues and how they affect you, your family and/or your friends.
Print a copy of the Oz Kiwi Factsheet to give them.
