Help Oz Kiwi educate both Kiwis and Aussies on the issues New Zealanders face in Australia. Talk to your whanau, friends and work colleagues about the issues the 2001 changes have caused.
The issues affect ‘blended’ families too, where one parent is a Kiwi and the other an Aussie. For example a Kiwi can’t get a carer payment to look after their sick Australian citizen partner or child.
When discussing the issues with friends, or politicians and community leaders use this handy factsheet that explains clearly the impacts on Kiwis who arrived post 26 February 2001.
If they want to know more, direct them to the resources page on the Oz Kiwi website.
