Federal election called for Saturday 2 July 2016

The Federal election has been called for Saturday 2 July 2016. If you can’t vote in the Federal election then help do something about it!

Let the Government know about the issues for New Zealanders in Australia:

  • tell your local Federal MP
  • speak to the candidates in your Federal electorate

Phone their office or write a letter explaining why you and/or your family can’t become a citizen and explain what it would mean to you to get citizenship. For example, you or your children want to study and won’t be able to access HELP loans.

The Get Involved page has information on the issues, how to contact MP’s and Senators, and a letter template to get you started.

You can also look up the contact details for a Federal MP or a Senator.
