Did your local dawn service or RSL fly the New Zealand flag and play the New Zealand anthem for ANZAC Day?
The 25th of April marks the day in 1915 when Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) landed at Gallipoli in Turkey. Oz Kiwi has heard from supporters that ANZAC Day services they have attended do not acknowledge the role New Zealanders played in Gallipoli and the ANZAC history.
Anyone who attends a service that does not fly the NZ flag or play the NZ anthem should contact the RSL, or council organiser, to ask why and politely request that they do so in future.
You could also take the issue to your Federal MP. Many will have attended a service so you could ask them if the NZ flag and anthem were used.
